Incumbent: Republican Roger Wicker was appointed to the Senate in December 2007 to fill the vacancy left by Senator Trent Lott's resignation.
He won a special election on November 4, 2008 to serve out the reminder of Lott's term. He is seeking a first full term in 2012. He currently faces no primary opposition.
