Incumbent: Democrat Mary Landrieu, first elected to the Senate in 1996, is seeking a fourth term in 2014.  In Louisiana, there are no primaries and thus no party nominees.  Instead, all qualifying candidates were on the general election ballot.  Since no candidate got 50% plus one on November 4th, Landrieu and Cassidy advance to a runoff election on Saturday, December 6th.
