To Vince Carter, it's just a suggestion.

The perpetual presidential candidate
John McCain looks to be securing another failed GOP nomination attempt. Once again, this guy is
toast.

Poll: Funding the Iraq War beyond 2008
The latest edition of Election Projection's Weekly Poll is up. Democrats in Congress are mulling over a bill which would
end funding of the Iraq War by the fall of next year, effectively requiring a withdrawal of US troops. Of course most every American would love
for our troops to no longer be needed in Iraq by that time. However, assuming the new Iraqi government is still unable to keep the peace over there
18 months from now, would you support the bill to end funding of the war anyway? The poll is located in the right sidebar. Cast your vote and
then discuss it here.

The state of the nomination races
Richard Baehr of the American Thinker has posted a thorough analysis of the
Republican and
Democratic nomination contests. I thought I'd post a
link since there is such a dearth of news about next year's elections right now. (Heh heh - so much for a political off-season!)

Poll: The GOP 2008 nomination
The latest edition of Election Projection's Weekly Poll is up. This week, we take a look at the field of GOP contenders for
the presidential nomination in 2008. We have an old-timer in John McCain trying once again to capture the elusive party prize. We have a
former New York City mayor, Rudy Giuliani, running on a strong national security image gained from his steady leadership in the aftermath of 9/11.
Mix in a couple of immigration reform crusaders, a reborn Newt Gingrich, and some GOP governors, and you have wide-open field. Who do you think
will come away with the nomination? The poll is located in the right sidebar. Cast your vote and then discuss it here.
