Trump video takes its toll
Email reveals anxiety over Clinton candidacy
Among the emails put out in the last few days by Wikileaks is one note from progressive writer Brent Budowsky, who writes opinion columns for The Hill and The Huffington Post, to Clinton’s campaign chair John Podesta. His comments confirm what I’ve held all along. Hillary Clinton is a very weak candidate. So weak, in fact, that Budowsky was convinced that Trump had to be nominated for her to have a decent chance to win.
Right now I am petrified that Hillary is almost totally dependent on Republicans nominating Trump…she has huge endemic political weaknesses that she would be wise to rectify…even a clown like Ted Cruz would be an even money bet to beat [her].
As we know, in what could be a major disappointment for Republicans (and America, in my opinion), she did get Trump as her general election opponent. Aside: Is there anyone out there who believes Marco Rubio would be down by double-digits right now?
Takeaways from the second presidential debate
TheHill.com’s Jonathan Easley identifies five takeaways from the second debate. He opines that:
- An ugly campaign gets uglier.
- Clinton’s emails are Trump’s best weapon.
- The debate is unlikely to change the race.
- Trump is at war with the media.
- Trump is not afraid to break with Pence.
While I didn’t watch most of the debate, EP’s conservative contributor, Jeff Murphy, did. He offers his insights in The Red Zone.
Update on Election Projection’s fundraiser
I posted a fundraiser on the website on Friday, but I took it down the next day. In lieu of contributing to Election Projection, I suggest you send that money to the Red Cross or some other worthy disaster relief charity to help those impacted by Hurricane Matthew. You’ll have another chance to support my work before Election Day.Thank you.
