Recovering from a battle with the terrible Ebola virus, Dr. Kent Brantly has released a
statement regarding his ordeal
. The whole statement is well worth your time, but this paragraph caught my eye.
|My wife Amber and I, along with our two children, did not move to Liberia for the specific purpose of fighting Ebola. We
went to Liberia because we believe God called us to serve Him at ELWA Hospital.
I take my hat off to the thousands of godly men and women around this world who have answered God's call on their lives to go and
share the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ. Many times, as evidenced by the example of the courageous
people serving in these Ebola-infected areas, the process of sharing Christ involves meeting people's physical needs as well - and the
primary motivation is not for personal benefit or fame, but for the glory of the One who called them, the One who redeemed them.
What a wonderful example of the love of God these redeemed men and women demonstrate! I thank God for them, each
and every one.
