Another post in The Red Zone, a place where I let my conservative convictions show.
From Jeff Murphy:
PC types are not content with their victories; they are mounting a direct attack on religious liberty in its home – churches and synagogues. The link below offers a news item where the Iowa Civil Rights Commission put out rules for churches, since rescinded under legal challenge. Even though the most extreme arguments haven’t won yet, it should be alarming to anyone who believes in religious liberty that these arguments are being taken seriously at all in the core area of churches’ own internal practices and even sermons. Even if you are for transgenders in the bathroom of their choice, you should still be outraged at trying to suppress even the expression of a different point of view and, far worse, even in a church.
Here’s Why They’re Coming After Your Ministry, Church or SynagogueFrom Scott: Thankfully, the governmental action noted in the story was rescinded. However, many more stories like this are popping up all around the country. And, as you can see from this episode in Iowa, it isn’t just the radical liberal states who are mounting these types of assaults. Christians and like-minded non-Christians need to wake up – NOW! With an empty Supreme Court seat awaiting the next president and the ideological makeup of the Court hanging in the balance, this election might be our last chance to save the religious liberty on which our very nation was founded.
These are very serious days, folks. We still, for the moment, have a judicial system that will rescind non-Constitutional measures like this one. However, that won’t be the case if Hillary Clinton becomes our next president. One more liberal Supreme Court justice and the Court will side with any legislation or lawsuit anti-Christian forces can come up with.
