Speaker: Patricia Smith, mother of Sean Smith During the evening session on Monday at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, Pat Smith, the mother of Sean Smith, one of the four Americans murdered in a terrorist attack in September, 2012, gave a five minute speech condemning Hillary Clinton for her principal role in that horrific event. You can view a video of the entire speech below. Smith’s impassioned words bring a mother’s face to the tragedy of Benghazi and an indictment to the incompetence and deception of President Obama’s State Department, headed at the time by Democratic nominee-apparent Hillary Clinton. The events described in the video after Smith’s speech collaborate and add further testimony to the grief-stricken mother’s words. We should have done more – we could have done more – to save those American lives. The capabilities were available; they just weren’t used. And the campaign of misinformation that ensued warrants so much more scrutiny by our media than it has gotten. Indeed, instead of doing their self-assigned duty to find the truth, the mainstream media has done all it can to minimize the culpability of Clinton and deflect any damage to her bid for the presidency by assaulting those who would speak the truth about what happened in Benghazi. It is a crying shame that such villiany would result in more denunciation of the whistle-blowers than the perpetrators.
